►What is hyaluronic acid?
Hyaluronic acid is a complex sugar (polysaccharide) found in high quantities especially in the skin, bones and intervertebral discs, in the synovium and in the vitreous body of the eye.
Why do we recommend it?

Natural component of the skin, connective tissue, joint fluid and cartilage, its concentration within the skin connective tissue however tends to decrease with age.
Recently some studies have shown that hyaluronic acid is also involved in hair growth processes, opening new horizons in cosmetic use.
► We can compare the action of hyaluronic acid to that of a car engine oil. Over time, heat and friction decrease the viscosity of the oil, making it less effective in protecting the mechanical parts, hyaluronic acid behaves the same way inside the joints. An excessive decrease of this substance, linked to traumatic events or to advancing age, in fact increases the friction between the articular surfaces.
